I am applying to Hotchkiss as a junior for sept 2015 (I know this is difficult!) and I was wondering if anyone could give me more information about life at Hotchkiss from experience or personal knowledge. My parents are a bit worried about the Head Kevin Hicks stepping down with no current replacement announced? (I’m not asking anyone to chance me). Thanks!

The school is anxious to have an interim head assigned to minimize any transition angst. There is a lot of history at the school so it is stable of its own accord and longevity. There will be some areas which get held up by the transition but the school is solid and stable and they have been in this rodeo for a long time. I would not turn away based on the pending head of school transition.
