I'm a transfer for Fall 2010 [enough with the hate], and I was wondering if I could get any feedback regarding the ACS exam.

I know my OChem teacher at my CC was offended when he found out Cal requires such an exam, as it tests the true teaching skills of a Ph.D recipient. However, I feel as if I am confident enough to pass this exam.

Any feedback on types of questions, subjects, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

The test consists of general questions, but it covers everything. Although, there may be a few tricky questions which will determine how carefully you read each question. (i.e. the obvious answer is a red herring) However, you really shouldn’t have to worry about it. Berkeley doesn’t really care how well you do, unless you are either applying to the college of chemistry or if you need credit for chem 112A and 112b instead of the intro classes. If that is the case, then you will have to score in the 75th percentile and higher.
