<p>Hey, i would like to know any facts or opinions on the following schools, because i am from out of state, i know little about the actual atmosphere.</p>

-UT at Austin

<p>A&M and Texas are both very large high quality institutions, but the culture is quite distinct. A&M is conservative, friendly and steeped in tradition which can be invigorating or overwhelming depending upon your point of view. TAMU is in Bryan-College Station where pretty much the whole town is there because of the university.</p>
<p>UT is much more diverse and cosmopolitan and is located in Austin which has a lot more going for it than just being the home of UT.</p>
<p>Very different cultures, but great education in both places.</p>
