Info to give to people writing your letters of recommendation

For those of you who have applied/are applying to medical school, what kinds of info did you give to the professors who are writing your letters of recommendation? I know that a transcript and c.v. are usually what is expected, but did you also give some sort of personal statement?

One of my LOR writers asked for a personal statement, so I just gave it to them all. I also gave them a CV and my transcripts.

If at all possible, it’s best for you to talk them a good bit specifically about the LOR and why you want to be a doctor, etc. so they can have a more clear focus in the letter.
