Informal Classes

Informal Classes seem like a fun and learning side-activity for students at UT at a low cost.

Is it worth paying a few dollars to take the informal classes and are they only offered in the Summer or throughout the year?

Experiences/Knowledge/Stories are welcome >>

I haven’t done one before so I can’t answer on that but they are offered at times other than just the summer.

They are pretty good though it depends on your teacher. And a lot of them are at night. Or sometimes on Sat. =/

I’m taking Arabic and/or Persian every semester since I cant double major in Russian and Arabic and graduate on time. And also the levels on the languages don’t go very far - just two classes each for the ones I am taking.

They just added classes for the fall like this week because I checked a few days ago and they weren’t there but just went on today and they are listed.

My classes were $82. I am kinda bummed that the next level is $105. But that’s pretty good because if I took it at ACC it would be $300.

That’s great to hear. I am also planning on taking something that’s fun and the night or weekend times are great since I don’t have classes at that time. I was thinking of fencing or Aikido, something fun to relieve my stress from the tons of workload.
