Anyone going for the summer???

As to take classes? I think it would be better and cheaper to take classes at your local community college, but that's just me.

Uh, preview is a free program in the summer. You take two classes at UT. you have to apply to get in.

Do you have to pay for housing? How is it free?

All you pay is $500 out of your pocket. they cover the cost of classes and partial room and board. and everyone lives in jester for the six week summer II session

Do you get credits for this?

Yeah 6 hrs for 2 classes

Does it go towards your graduation or are they like miscellaneous credits

No towards grad. You take RHE 306 and another class for your other elective requirements

Eh, I don't feel like going to Austin this early. I'd rather enjoy my last summer at home.

it starts in mid-july. besides, its practically FREE...why not?? oh yeah, where u from anyways?

I'm from Dallas, TX. It's not like I can do much after the classes because I can't go home. There won't be nearly as much people than there would be when classes actually start. Plus I want to spend the summer with my friends from high school one last time. So I think I'll do the summer classes at my community college. It's really cheap there anyways.

Yeah but you get a chance to meet a lot of people, there are about 100 kids in the program I think. A few of my friends did it last year and the year before, and all the friends they have up there now are the ones they met at Preview. That's why I want to do it.

Oh, I think it's a great idea, but I guess it depends on your personal preferences.

True, and the classes they offered this year kind of suck but I'm glad I at least am getting the chance to go.
