Hello,
I have been accepted to college- just recently received news of an ivy acceptance, and I’m in the process of choosing between that admissions decision and another offer which included acceptance into a hefty scholarship and social program at a different school. Needless to say, I have been able to breathe a sign of relief.
Just recently, within the last 24 hours, however, I parked my car in a park after dark (not knowing that this was not allowed, as there were no signs up) just briefly. I was not doing anything else illegal- no drugs, alcohol, etc., but it was just my luck to have a policeman drive by an give me a “complaint,” an infraction for being parked there after dark. It was obviously not a moving violation- the only charges were what I assume to be classified as a parking violation (if I am wrong about this please let me know, I’m not sure if an infraction for this is a parking violation, but I think that it is), and the only punishment was a $75 fine. There are no insurance hikes, nothing other than the small fee.
My question is this- is this something that could get my acceptances taken away from me, or even the scholarship from the second school that I mentioned? Is it something that I have to tell the school about, or is it really not a big deal for them? Obviously this isn’t much of a big deal- just ignorance of the law on my part- but I don’t know how this may affect my acceptances in terms of them getting revoked.
Thank you very much for your time
