Inorganic+1 semester Inorganic lab satisfy 1 yr. chem requirement?

I will have AP Credit for 2 semesters of AP Chemistry, and I don't want it to count for nothing, so for pre med requirements I plan on taking higher level classes.

At one of the undergrad schools I am currently considering Inorganic Chem lecture is offerend semester one, for 6 sem. hrs., and its lab course is another class entirely, as it, too, is 6 sem. hrs. and is only offered in the spring, where the lecture is fall-only.

For all intents and purposes, they are two classes, but would a med-school see it that way?

Or would I have to take p-chem or a-chem or forego my AP Chem creidt? (Which I really do not want to do)

I would think that a total of 12 semester hours of lecture and lab in inorganic chemistry should be acceptable to the medical schools. It is up to the individual medical school as to what is acceptable to meet the requirements. MCP-Hahnemann (now Drexel) School of medicine let me take organic chemistry by correspondence courses through the University of Oklahoma extension because I was stationed in Japan and would not have been able to complete it before enrolling otherwise since my tour of duty in Japan did not end until a few days before medical school classes started.
