Inquiring about a transfer to Princeton/Johns Hopkins??

I was wondering about the probability of transferring to either of them.

Considering that I am:
*International.
*Already in Medical school, heading to the 2nd year.
*Note that, where I am, the system goes like this, there are no 3 years for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. There are 6 years pure Medicine. And then 1 year for practice under supervision.
*Where I am is awful.

Also note that JHU did send me an e-mail asking me to consider applying, back when I was a high school junior.

Thank You.

Princeton does not accept transfers … [url=<a href=“http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/faq/eligibility/]Eligibility | Princeton”>http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/faq/eligibility/]Eligibility | Princeton University/url.

In the US we do not start medical school as undergraduates. There is not even a pre-med major … it is a set of courses that can be taken while pursuing virtually any major. A lot of pre-med types major in chemistry or biology to maximize the number of courses that cover both major and pre-med requirements.

So your question is really about transferring to JHU as a pre-med with a major TBD.

OP I would stick it out if you’re already in med school. If you come to the U.S. you have to get through four years of undergrad with a stellar transcript and then go through the entire med school application process…

I also don’t think you can apply directly to US med schools as they don’t have a very high opinion of international medical students / degree holders.

Does your last sentence include those med schools in the UK?!
