At this point, my son is interested in majoring in Architecture. We looked at Wentworth in Boston and he loved it. However, he is concerned that if he changes his mind, there aren't other majors are limited at least where his interest lies. Philadelphia University seems to have other majors that he would possibly be interested in majoring. He wants a small traditional university in an urban setting and we are from New England but would be interested in attending schools in not only in New England but also in the Mid-Atlantic states. How is the housing? Is it a suitcase college where people leave on the weekends? Is housing guaranteed all 4 years? What do students do when they are not studying? What is the student body like? Do architecture majors need to submit a portfolio as part of their application. We hope to visit next April on school break but would like some initial information.

i find this post interesting since my son an I drove to Wentworth in Boston and he also just got accepted to Phila U
. He will major in Industrial Design and we plan to visit the school and 2 others…good luck

Son is weighing between Chemical Engineering elsewhere and Textile engineering at Philadelphia. We all really like the program/campus. Wonder about how small the program is and actual placement rates. Looking forward to a shadow on campus in February.

Dylancourtney would love to hear what you think after visit and shadow. We hope to visit this summer. Son would be applying for Fall 2015 in Landscape Architecture.

Dylancourtney - My son was accepted Industrial Design at Wentworth, so I am also very interested to hear about your visit and your decision. Still waiting on a financial aid offer.
