Can anyone associated with Hobart-William Smith College (current students, alums, parents, faculty, staff ... ) tell me what sets HWS apart from other similar-seeming schools?

Anything else I should know (good or bad) about HWS ... particularly things that the guidebooks and info sessions might not tell me?

As a parent of a junior at William Smith (she refers to her school as 'Hobart'), I have nothing
but positive things to say about HWS. So much so, that my son will be a Freshman there this Fall. It is a very friendly school. Every single student I have met have been happy,
relaxed, polite, and just plain nice kids. My daughter has loved it since her first day. She
is more motivated academically than we've ever experienced. For such a small school, she
doesn't seem to get bored and feels there is plenty to do on the weekend. She just enjoys being with her friends, watching the sporting events and partying with her friends. The people working at the school are also very friendly and for the most part, are nice to the kids.
