Hi all,

I'm going back to school (undergrad) in September (University of Michigan, for Economics), with 4 semesters left. I'm wondering how my "odds" look at getting a good BB IBD internship between junior and senior year (for Summer 2013). One thing I have that may help me stand out:

I have been an intelligence analyst (within the U.S. government) for the last 8 years (I'm 26), including years of managing teams of analysts (15 at a time, etc). Letter of recommendation from a U.S. Ambassador, lot of great resume bullets including introducing a new analytical model that may end up being used by a branch of the government worldwide, quantifiable achievements showing analytical success, etc.

So, how are my odds? Is time as an intelligence analyst something that a BB will bite on? My understanding is that most people see it as "analysis is analysis", but my sample size has been pretty small. I know that being an Econ major instead of going through Ross is going to require networking, I'm very comfortable with that, I'm just wondering how my background will play.

I really appreciate any advice or input.
