I am currently a sophmore and I’m looking for an intensive visual arts Pre college program.
The summer after freshman year I attended CSSSA 2015. However, now that I have attended one of the more competitive arts programs, I don’t know what program to apply for.
I wish to attend a program that is more geared towards individuals with a solid foundation in art, and is challenging.
Any suggestions?
DD attended Laguna College of Art and Design last summer. The emphasis is very different from CSSSA: technical excellence is the big emphasis. Our daughter attended Figure Drawing, with many people doing Figure and Foundational simultaneously. I don’t think housing was offered. They did offer some scholarships.
Is location a factor? Is cost? Many programs are fairly expensive.
