So I've taken Biology already, and am going to take it HL in the IB program for two years. I want to major in something related to Bio, but I'm not sure which career to go into? I've already counted out Doctor and Nursing majors. I've been looking at careers like a Physician's Assistant, BioEngineering, or just a plain Bio major... but I'm still not sure. Is there a Bio major that pays well, but doesn't take TOO long in schooling?

Nursing is your best bet for the $$$ besides Doctor or PA.

follow your heart, but i wouldnt do PA, do a nurse practitioner program or MD/DO. people get burned out really fast on PA work as many dont feel fufilled because they are not doctors, so many go back to school and become doctors anyway.

What on earth are you talking about? Generally, people who become PAs do so because they want to be PAs, just like most people who become nurses and NPs do so because they want to be nurses.

@pinkfuzzyllamas, if you’ve already decided against being a physician or a nurse, what makes you think you’d enjoy being a PA? If you want to work in a bio-related area, you could consider biomedical engineering, however, it’s generally advised that you avoid BME as an undergraduate major. If you want to work in BME/BioE, you’re realistically looking at grad school for a Masters. You could also consider public health, and opt for an MPH after getting your BS.
