<p>I do think that the number of applicants applying ED to Columbia has decreased. This is an article from last year.. and from what it says, I doubt that much has changed this year. </p>

<p>Also, I think that this is good for us, because Columbia doesnt have to take less ppl ED to balance that out... since that doesnt affect their US News rank or whatever. I think they balance it out by taking less people RD and therefore maintaining their spot in the rankings. For example, last year Columbia's RD acceptance rate was at an all time low.. 11 or 12% and that makes sense cuz last year they got less applicants. IT also makes sense that more ppl would apply early to non binding schools.</p>
