Internal Transfer to the college?

Hello,

I recently committed to Georgetown as a Human Science major in the NHS. I origionally thought I would go the premed route and be a doctor, but I am now second guessing myself. My question is, how difficult is it to transfer from the NHS to the college?

I don’t want to internal transfer before school starts because a career in medicine is still my #1 choice, but I am much more undecided than I used to be. I intend to do some volunteering at the Georgetown Hospital to determine whether being a doctor is my thing during my freshman year before I decide whether or not to transfer.

Thanks!

To my knowledge you can still pursue the pre-med track as a College student, so you could pursue some other major and still have a career in medicine. You’d probably have to talk with admissions since the internal transfer process is more of a case-by-case basis in terms of how hard it may be. It’ll depend on how many of the College gen reqs you can fulfill and how many you’ll have to catch up on in order to graduate on time.
