Hi there, I just have a quick question about internal transferring at CornellU.
I’m currently a rising senior, and I’m thinking about applying to Cornell, but my current stats are more in the range of the School of Hotel Administration than the School of Applied Economics and Management.
Therefore, I was wondering if I were to get into SHA could I do an internal transfer into SAEM before the school year begins?
Thanks!
No
internal transfers are applications between schools, and in part based on the GPA and course work you do in the school that accepted you. The school is wary of people attempting to get into one school, only to transfer.
so I’m not saying you can’t transfer, but you won’t be able to transfer before starting.
Internal transfers do not always work out. You would need to be prepared to stay in the school that accepted you.
I would apply to the college you want to be in, especially since the hotel school is still competitive. Your application will be more compelling if you are applying where the fit is best.
