Hey guys! Was wondering whether having an interview from China – a limited interview country – speaks to anything about my candidacy for Harvard.
I would think it does, but keep in mind that only a handful of students from China (out of hundreds of applicants, possibly thousands) are admitted each year. Harvard doesn’t publicize how many students are interviewed versus how many are accepted, so I wouldn’t infer anything from the fact that you’ve been given an interview. In this pdf, look only at column #2 (college) to see how China stacks up to other countries: http://worldwide.harvard.edu/sites/default/files/worldwide/files/2014-15_international_enrollment_school_country_fromoir.pdf
