<p>Being an international student from latin america, Im finishing my college studies with a major in economics and I was considering applying for a PhD in US. My question is if i need to earn a master here in my country before I apply for the PhD or if I have any chance to be accepted in one of the top universities without the master? <p>I am not sure about your field but in science and engineering, that is not necessary. You need to have good grades, a strong GRE and TOEFL and excellent letters of recommendation. If that takes a masters degree in your country, you might need to take that path.</p>
