International Applicant?

Hey I am an international student. I wanted to know is it necessary to have a valid US visa while applying to be eligible to apply to Cooper Union?

The FAQ section haas this-
6. What are the requirements for international students to apply to The Cooper Union?

* U.S. mailing address
* TOEFL (if you have less than three years of study in English)
* SAT I/ACT
* SAT II in Math and Chemistry or Physics (Engineering only)
* Student visa (certificate of finances needed for I-20)
* High school transcript

Wanted to clarify point#5, does that mean I need a certificate of finances for the I20 or do i need to have an F1 before I apply???

Thanks in advance!

hi
I’m also applying as an international student and no you don’t need visa while applying but ofcourse you need one if you will be elected
I consulted theCooper Union before, and the admissions told me that these things are being managed after the person is admitted

thanks-I got that confirmed by the Adcoms too.
good luck!

I’m international as well. I’ve asked them about the US address and they said that you can just use the address of a friend or relative. I guess they need it to send out the home tests on the same time…

Good luck :]

Hi there, i am a student in malaysia and would like to further my master in architecture in US…but for your concern,i do not want to burden my parents regarding the fees
and then i picked Cooper Union which is tuition-free if i get in…
But is that possible for me to apply the master program?
If not,is there any good architecture colleges that are tuition-free as well???

-Warm regards from malaysia-
