<p>Yes. Cornell architecture was my dream haha. My chances are slim though, all depends on whether they like my portfolio or not. I think I have a half decent chance though considering I got waitlisted at Rice.</p>

<p>To be completely honest ArchHopeful. I wouldn't recommend Cornell based on a lot of experiences from friends. It's in Ithaca, New York which is supposedly rural and countryside. It's not near the city and there's nothing to really do there. It's great in architecture of course (arguably the best), but its lifestyle for students isn't so great. There's this bridge there with a net under it especially made because so many students committed suicide by jumping off the bridge (creepy, but true). Just think twice. Lifestyle matters a lot too, not just school! =/ I apologize for the grim post.</p>
<p>well.. to be honest my luck with college acceptance hasn't been good.. i had pretty good chance at UCSD but got rejected along with my friends who applied there as their safeties.. (they also got rejected from LA and Cal with me LOL...) so.. if i have to choose a school in california.. it's either davis or irvine.. or santa barbara.. most likely davis though.. and i only applied to Carnegie Mellon and NYU in east coast.. got waitlisted for CMU but I really don't wanna go there.. cz to me that place is just dull and boring.. and has no chicks according to my friends who are already attending there :p and NYU I got rejected as CAS althought it was my 50/50.. and got an invitation for GSP (which I'm kinda considering).. so I don't know yet.</p>
<p>Yes I've heard the suicide stories but most of them are Ithaca residents, not students. Plus I'd drop my nuts before I could take my own life haha.</p>
<p>I suppose you could say there's nothing to do but there isn't much to do in Brisbane either and I survived. I guess clubbing isn't important since I'll be 'underaged' when I go to the USA haha.</p>
<p>I've gotten every UC school besides Cal/LA. I got into SD under Management Science but not sure if I'm going yet. If I don't get into SC I'm probably going to SD =/ I really want to go to SC though.</p>

I'm gonna get stuck at UIllinois....the town of urbana-champagne is cool...but most likely i'll be stuck in the middle of cornfileds with no major city around for miles
But i'm not too bitter i'm going there. It's not that bad and i'm almost sure i will be transfering out if i keep my grades high enough.</p>

<p>UIllinois is a good school lol I have a lot of friends there and it's where I got my first acceptance from hahaha only problem for that school would be, imo, transportation and being miles and miles away from major cities haha</p>
