<p>... not all mail comes with DHL. I'm from Switzerland, and I got my acceptance today through normal priority mail. I'm a spring admit, maybe that's why they didn't send it with DHL.
Keep your heads up! Until today, I was sure I'm a reject.</p>
<p>I hope I get in. I still haven't gotten a DHL. I called admissions and they said all international decisions are through DHL. I guess not. Thanks for the information awelex.</p>
<p>I saw someone else from Switzerland who got in but didnt recieve an email....maybe they dont send it through DHL for Swiss students cuz DHL may not have that much of a presence there....(srry i dont wanna get my hopes high)</p>

<p>GPA: Well, we don't really have GPAs but I graduated with four VHAs and two HAs on my Senior Certificate.

SAT II: 640 Maths II, 670 Physics

I did apply to architecture though so I guess my portfolio was a heavy factor on why I got in since my stats (in comparison to some of you Yanks) weren't exactly amazing.</p>
<p>Lastly, yeah I recieved it by DHL this morning. Been tracking it by the email service all the way.</p>

Were you aware SC's School of Architecture has 2 Pritzker Prize winners? This is called by many as the "Nobel Prize" of Architecture. SC is tied with Yale for the most American winners of this prestigious award.
Best of luck. Watch out for Strength of Materials. It is a killer course. My brother, who is a registered civil engineer from SC, remarked it was horribly difficult.</p>
<p>I was not aware but then again I had always put off USC's arch school as a second tier compared to Cornell and Rice. I guess it's time to do my research since Rice probably won't happen either but I'm liking USC arch more every minute.</p>
<p>Strength of materials? Sounds like a return to chemistry and physics. Don't know if my brain's still up for that haha.</p>

This is opinion. In the U.S. college rankings are dominated by the eastern media centers. Frankly, many feel some of these colleges are living on their reputations. Note the post on the board about a student who visited Berkeley and found their facilities, etc. not to the standard he expected.<br>
President Sample has been pouring millions into improving faculty, labs, computer centers and library facilities.<br>
Also, if you have read about the "Trojan Family" it is not a myth. The networking is incredible. The campus is in an urban area, but it is an oasis of courtyards, fountains, tropical shrubs and flowers. The student body is so diverse, you will soon find a group of friends. Lastly, the campus is only about 15 miles from the beach, 3 hours from winter skiing and about 3 hours from Palm Springs. Enjoy!</p>
<p>Arch: I'd love to be in your position. many reasons to choose SC over cornell. but its up to you. it goes other way around too i guess. id say its lifestyle > program?</p>
