I am thinking about majoring in international business. I really like the fact that it will allow me to learn about other cultures and get the opportunity to study abroad. I am not sure if I would enjoy learning all the business things that go along with international business, though, like how to run your own business and things like that. What will I be learning exactly with this major? If anyone has majored in international business, I would love to hear exactly what is was like for you. Thanks.

I am in the same exact boat as you! I don’t have much info on the major either but I figure I’d bump this topic :)

Consider an International Studies major instead if you are more interested in politics, languages, history, culture, etc. than business. International Business is for people interested in one of the traditional business majors and just want to add an international element to it.

And yes, I was an International Studies major myself over 30 years ago. :)
