International Development and Econ as a dual major?

Hi Guys,

So I got accepted to UCLA for international development from community college. While I’m happy, I was gunning for econ major, so is it possible for me to also major in econ and international development at the same time? If yes, how much longer will it take for me to graduate compare to just majoring in international development (add’l year???). Or is this not feasible and waste of my time?

Thanks!

Honestly double majors aren’t worth the time. Switching would delay graduation. Both are fine programs at UCLA. At transfer student orientation you will have a 1 on 1 meeting with your NSA who will help you.
