<p>The highest post I have got is that of a Joint Secretary. lol. well actually i was a house captain in Class 8 , but i dont think that counts.</p>

<p>I have done some volunteering in a children's hospital as a Social Action Volunteer, worked in Old age homes and Donated blood a few times. I was also a executive member of Red Cross in school and we did some community things. </p>

<p>I dont know how much my EC is going to help me.....</p>

<p>good chance...rank and SAT should help u...i dont think many people from ur country apply, so that should be a hook. If u dont apply for aid, ur in.</p>

<p>The key line there is 'if you don't apply for aid'. If you can pay full tuition, I'd say you're in. However, knowing the economic realities in Nepal, you probably need to apply for a lot of aid. Which means it really depends on what the international application pool looks like and how much aid you're requesting. International student admissions is very need-aware (they take your financial situation into account before admitting you). Of course, Macalester offers more aid to internationals than almost any other college, so your chances are better at Mac than elsewhere.
Your scores and grades alone make you eligible for admissions to a lot of colleges, so I recommend applying to a TON of schools in order to increase the odds that you'll get into a college and receive plenty of financial aid.</p>
