Hello, I've been admitted to Penn this year, but I will be taking a year off to go to missions and travel around the world.

My major is most likely going to be International Relations with a business related minor.

If anyone in the forum is an IR major at Penn, can you tell me how it is, what classes you are taking, and what book you are reading?

I understand that it's an interdisciplinary major, but aren't there intro IR textbooks that you would read? I don't want to completely empty out my brain during the gap year. I am keeping my options open, so I don't know which area of the world I want to focus in (maybe Asia or Latin America)

I've already tried to research a bit, but all I found was basic IR courses list and approved IR course catalog.

Thanks in advance for helping out!
By the way I cannot believe I am back at collegeconfidential.
