So I'm planning to apply to most of the UC's and noticed that only UCD and USC have a International Relations program while the others offer International Studies. Can someone please explain to me where exactly the difference is and if I plan on getting my MBA would it matter much wheter I graduated in IR or IS?

IR is a bit more specific, but there is essentially no difference. I wouldnt worry about it.

USC is not part of the UC system by the way...

IR just sounds cooler... (according to my global politics prof anyways).

On a more serious note, however, look at the program requirements for each degree. Some IR degrees are strictly a specialization under political science, while others are interdisciplinary and require you to take courses in poli sci, econ, languages, history, etc. Take the option that requires/allows for more economics classes as a prep for the MBA and work experience in the business sector.
