I don't give out chances on grad schools and especially subjects I'm not familiar with...but if you have any general questions about U of Pittsburgh or the city of Pittsburgh, I'm more than happy to answer...I got my undergrad there and am always happy to answer questions! :D

I also know a bit about Raleigh, specifically a great place for S. Indian food (mmm dosai...)!

hi
Thanks for replying. Im sending out my application to pittsburgh ,very soon and im really really hoping to get an admit from there, because of a lot of factors!
what field are u in?

I graduated from Pitt in '04 with my BS in Geology...

Pittsburgh is a great city with a lot to offer! It has a lot socio-economic and racial diversity. Also, in Oakland (the section of the city where Pitt is) there is an excellent Indian market (on Atwood St...where...yes...they sell ThumsUp!) and an excellent middle-eastern resturant. One of the great things about Pittsburgh is that due to the cultural diversity there are lots of excellent ethic places to eat and lots of cultural events as well. I actually miss Pittsburgh sometimes...good luck on your application! :)

Thanks!
Ill let u know if i get an admit , then u may be u can enlighten me some more :)
thanks ne ways

Supriya,

Given your strong record in economics, relatively high verbal score, and knowledge of four languages, I think you stand a solid chance at most of the schools on your list. UCSD may be a bit of a reach, though. It’s very selective.

Your list includes two schools from California. Other good schools in that state that you may want to check out are the University of San Diego (USD) and the University of Southern California (USC). USD would probably be a match, and here’s info about its IR program.

<a href="http://www.sandiego.edu/polisci/mair.php%5B/url%5D">http://www.sandiego.edu/polisci/mair.php</a></p>

USC is tough to get into, but you may want to give it a try. USC has an excellent reputation and a very powerful alumni association. You may find the link below interesting.

Good luck.
