International SAT December 1st 2012 Discussion for Critical Reading

Hi guys,
I took the SAT a few hours ago.
Just wondering, if anybody else thought Critical Reading was challenging (especially the passage with the microbiologist).

SC were awfully difficult. but the passage was alright…and Newton&Shakespeare was experimental

oh, haha.
I had a different test:
SC was a joke, but the passages killed me:(

hope I can get over 700, cause Math and Writing were super easy:)

some questions I was stuck or think I got it wrong

unique vs archetypal?

Elephant passage : workers were uninformed?

Got 2 wrong in math…***. Hoping for an 800 in writing though. Very nervous about CR…does anyone know that archetypal, unique etc SC? Was it in the experimental one cuz i got experimental reading…massive headache.

its unique, since they said that it was common in the past, so its definitely not unique

hmmm I chose unique… but many of my friends either put unique or archetyap… it was like 5:50

Damn…I put in archetypal. What was Mrs Verma’s tone when she said this is so sad etc??

the tone was solemn

solemn I think…how many no error did you guys get? I got 3… one with this college Arizona girl… and can’t remember anything else

haha, I was unsure, but I guess its solemn, since:

 1. she looks down gravely as he speaks to her
 2. she later argues how the book made her uncle almost go insane
 3. a smart Asian in my school said so:)

i bombed the essay :frowning: might be a 6/12

another no error was the cash sentence, which contained neither…nor

did u guys do well on that essay? i mean… u cant elaborate on examples for this particular assignment

one answer was eagerness…

Mrs velmas attitude compared to the boy wad composed right?

What was the answer to the last question in the microbiologist passage?

whats was the question?

I took the international test too, I was relieved the one about newton and shakespeare was the experimental section.
What were your essay prompts?
