jay01: I think Yale is unpredictable for anybody with any type of scores scores. It's an utter wild shot for everybody. I don't see the point of retaking Lit, actually. 700 is a good score. Lit was *****ing hard. I say go for it, but how would I know?

soonalvin: Well, if MIT disregards it, I suppose don't retake it, but if time permits, take it after your A Levels (in November or May?) so it can be sent to the other colleges, cause I think by next year, most colleges will have an idea of what/how to use the Writing Score on the SAT I. :(

i don't even know why i took lit. especially since i'm applying for engineering.

oh well... i know why i took it.. sb told me lit was easy so I thought i'd give it a try. and that was two days before the test!! but i guess it went ok so i'm happy abt it. math and physics deserted me! lol

One of last year's co-valedictorian got into UPenn. She took Math I not math II, I think. Unsure about her scores, but hey, she got in! And she didn't break 1400 on her SAT I scores.

But she got in.

GPA, EC's, essays, rec's...it's all more than the SAT's!

man a 700 in IIC is NOT bad...u know what. after getting a 4 in AP calc, I got a 650 in IIc, and before i did calc, i got a 680 :p so dont worry aaron.

hey can somebody help me out..
i signed into CB and all my scores are 0's. My friend has the same problem..all his scores are 0's....what the heck is that supposed to mean?

Brown says sats are "considered" :D still when you see their score range you freak out!!!! [it's not as bad as at other ivies...but still ...:( ]
you never know. my advice to all of you, either you are happy or extremely diappointed with your scores: if you badly want to attend an univ/college you should definetly apply there! you're going to be at least satisfied you've done all your best to get there.... you won't think you could've given it a try but didn't. I myself think have pretty low chances at Brown[especially because another girl from Romania is also applying ED and she has waaaaay better stats] but, hey, I'm giving it a try. :) and really hope I can do it.
ok. enough talk, back to work :p :D

taj - I really have no clue what the zero's mean. Maybe you could email the SAT center? I hope it doesn't mean your scores got cancelled somehow!! The email address I used last time to ask them about combining my three CB.com accounts together (heehee) to have one place to view scores was: sat@info.collegeboard.org

Lakshmi - Nice words of advice. Since I'm clueless as to what the SAT subject breakdown is at the colleges I hope to attend, I'll not worry. And my SAT I CR+M from the May testing is within most of the 25-75% range so... shrug Guess we'll never know how much emphasis is put upon our scores in the admission review, if that's what'll break or make us.

Really? I was under the impression that as the guinea pigs, most colleges wouldn't really look at it unless they used to require SAT II Writing.

callthecops: How depressing. I went from Jan 2005 Writing 630 to SAT I Writing May 05 610. Oh, well. I know it's on the low side, but I know I'm horrible at writing under pressure and grammaticizing. :p
