and why might we be irritating kee? you lost me there dude.

Yeah, I got lost there, too. Maybe HiLine was referring to the "proposals" kee10 might have been getting. ;)

Most of my Malaysian friends hate it when I use the word "dude". They say it's too American. :p

Senior Member... envious

Martin - I'm not. I'm done with CB.com evilness except for sending scores. :)

IzzyJ,
that's great what r ur stats ?

Oh, well, umm..as in...SAT scores?

Old SAT (01/2002, at age 15): CR620,M590 = 1210
Old SAT (11/2004): CR710,M620 = 1330
New SAT(05/2005): V730, M690, W610 = 1420/1600, 2030/2400

SAT II: Biology Ecological: 740
Chemistry: 650
Writing (b'fore March '05): 630 (went down...:()
Math IC: 670, 690 (took it twice. Useless)
Literature: 680

shrug My Writing isn't stellar. It's the most disappointing of them all, but I don't want to retake the SAT I. Already took it 3 times, and I doubt my Grammar would improve quickly enough to get higher, nor my essay-writing skills.

And Martin - call me Izzy!!!

izzy, no worries! 876. you'll get there soon! u notice that i'm slowing down my posting frequency. i'm waiting for you to catch up! :D

a little glint in my eye Joined CC October 2nd, I believe...

grin It's amazing, actually, how close you can feel to a whole bunch of peope you're never met in person!

throwing my arms wide open I LOVE THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FORUM!!! passes around patent Izzy-hugs(TM) and Izzy-kisses(TM)

Found the grammar-ians?

I'm going through an intensive study for the November SAT II.

IzzyJ,you sort of get my sentence :D

oh well, morning to you all! it's almost noon, but I'm still sleepy. went out partyig last night(finished my app=needed a break). and now I'm definetely not in the mood of learning for my chem test tomorrow, or doing a sat practice test or something I would just like to sleep. I so whish it could be January right now :) (then we would definetely be ready with all our app-> I could think about nothing but math [I so miss working all day math poblems :( ]....) I'm having one of those "blue days" I think they're called. feeling kinda lousy...
I too feel so attached to you guys. really hope we'll have the chance to meet each other. who knows. maybe we'll turn 50 or something and will by chance meet and we will realize we were the best of pals here on CC. wouldn't that be just awesome! :D :p

Where do you apply for Izzy??

So... the question is: if you are not from an english-speaking country and didn't go an international high school, how low can your verbal be for top schools?
Does anybody know what are average sat scores of admited internationals?
You all guys did pretty well at cr and writing!

Hey, hope you had a great time partying last night, Lakshmi. At least your parents let you out...

HiLine - which SAT II's are you taking? Sorry if you already answered this question in post posts. We seem to be repeating ourselves frequently.

dashella - I'm unsure how adcoms differentiate between CR/W scores for non int'l high school students/non-english speaking country. I suppose...hmmm...a 550? But mind you, take it with a huge pinch of salt. Make sure you rule the TOEFL!

Deference, about what schools I'm applying to:

post number #682

yeah, toefl's easy, you can't even compare it to CR/W. But some schools let your CR score substitute the toefl, for example if you had 670+ for Jonns Hopkins and 600+ at Brown.
It's kind of weird, isn't it? If you had 660 at CW that doesn't mean you would pass toefl for sure, but if you had 670 than it's ok.

Izzy, how come you lived in so many countries? It's sooo cool! How many languages do you speak?

well, Izzy, it was rather nice... I can go out frequently, but hey... not much to do here in a 30,000- populated town. :(

hm didn't realise it's halloween tonight until some kids came trick-a-treating at my door...funny...cuz in australia we dont really celebrate halloween... any halloween parties in ur countries everyone?

not really, at least not in the region where I live, maybe Izzy and some of her school mates celebrated Halloween? am I right Izzy?

we don't even have halloween. :( and i'm a wizard. it's a special day for our guild.
