kee10:definitely,your CR score is extremely impressive inasmuch as it belongs to an international student :D

yeah kee. def an awesome score. would die for it! congrats!

woo! im madly overjoyed. 2nd sitting- i got 740 W (up from 720), 720 M (but i got 780 first time) and 750 CR!!!! (up from 650). so it seems iv proven i can use the english language.

Well done to everyone else

OMG, this official november sat at sat forum is so depressing. I mean, everybody had mid 700 and stuff...
So... my results... they aren't THAT horrible but they are still far from good for JHU, Brown and not to mention Princeton or MIT. :(

780M (there was this one question I didn't understand at first, the stupidest thing :( )
610CR
610W ( 8 essay :) I thought it would be worse, didn't finish it).

Congrats everybody!!!
Anyone retaking? I can't... to late in January (Dec 3 SAT II) ... plus a competition on the day...
Now I can work on physics for subject test........

Lakshmi,
do u know that 'Lakshmi' is the Hundu god of Fertility lol

Ok i'm happy:

math II 760 (this means i've got all the questions I answered correct, which I had't expected)

Bio M 730 (ok, but the curve appears to be very harsh, I could have done better)

(june) latin 770

composite 2260, I had hoped for a 2250 so i'm very glad!!!!

(hope Yale feels the same)

I just feel terrible...

No improvement...

So 780 math 660 CR 610 WR
2050 or 1440

and with my also disastrous SAT II scores math 2c 770 and Bio 720

I just can forget HYPS Dream now...

CAMBRIDGE ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!

phew.. managed 800 in math2.
but math1 is 710 :-/
and biology.. my "fun" test.. 670 :p [hey you know what, i got 480 on practice test and didnt have bio in HS]

Harvard, MIT, U of C, Penn.....Brown! I like brown too coz of the open curriculum, but I kinda feel its bad since its the "lowest Ivy"

Actually that infamous title is reserved for Cornell.

Martin, Lakshmi has many significances...or at least that's what I found out till now. but the main thing is : I AM A GODESS :D

Deference

Didnt u say earlier that u had a 800 M and 600 Wr? Anyway 1440 is great believe me. Ur Sat IIs are very good 1490(dont u need another 1 for HYP) Relax

well I prefer "the lowest Ivy" because it has nice people, not uptight ones like HPY.... I think it's definetely a GREAT school, and MY BEST FIT :D

I have this flaw that I always seek the best even if it isnt actually the best...can any1 provide a solution!

IHS: What news did I get?

kee, Wr = 100.

mercurysquad, i thought you were from last years? and you kinda disappeared after that...

congrats to everyone who are happy with their scores!

Banedon I mean news from U of C. By the way are u a male or female Blush

i'm sorry but i think that's a pretty... funny... attitude to have. a school like brown can hardly be called "bad" - i have a great deal of respect for that school. it pays a lot of attention to a student's voice (essays, personality, etc) and looks beyond the scores and grades - any self respecting institution should and does do the same. and from what i know about brown, i agree with lakhsmi and think that its students are really friendly and a school that doesn't have a core curriculum trusts the maturity of its students and gives them independence. great aspects, i would say.

and a diploma from brown will not go unrecognized.

all of us are applying to schools we love; they're great schools and have great characteristics - let's not start labelling them as "'good" "ok" "bad" or "highest ivy" and "lowest ivy". a good school is a good school is a good school :D

thank you kee for your input ;) [go no core curriculum colleges/univs] ;)

Congrats to all of u for ur remarkable results...
Mercurysquad is a 09'er...he is applying for a transfer...thats why he has given his SAT II tests... He is in International University Bremen at present...
since I m not a frequent visitor of this thread, I stumbled upon a name "Diana"...who is she...
I think u ppl shud refer by ID's...it will be easier for newcomer's on this thread to read and identify ppl...*just a suggestion ;) *
Anyways...Congrats to all again...

DOnt understand me this way. I do love Brown (or it wouldnt be on my list) But I feely sorry FOR Brown because it is th lowest Ivy. And yes, I do respect the thing that they look for the person beyond the scores.
