<p>It’s pretty obvious that the only ones defending this for-profit “program” are employees of the [shady</a> company](<a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Envision_EMI,_LLC]shady”>Envision EMI - Wikipedia) or people they’ve paid from PR organizations and the such. This is an organization that’s been complained against through the BB Bureau and they’ve been criticized by several admissions counselors. If you have that much money to waste, think of using that to augment your education by actually paying for non-profit or prestigious schools’ summer programs; why would you waste your money and time on a for-profit company?</p>
Why are most people being such buttheads about this program?!
I just saw someone else on Student Doctor Network knocking on this trip too.
He said he “received this fancy letter” and he doesn’t trust it, like these guys are cons.
The reason it came all “fancy” in the mail is for your guys’ academic superiority!! You earned that “fancy” letter.
No one is trying to “cheat” you.
I got one because of my GPA that I work hard for, and my academic goals of becoming a Nurse.
About a year ago, I went to a leadership conference for a weekend with local community colleges, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! …Honestly, it was the best! And my trip was at a nice place about an hour and a half East of home!
I met some really cool people, I had my own room with a coffee machine, learned some cool things along the way, and I made out with a beautiful girl. It was magical. And sometimes I get sad thinking I will never experience something like that again.
And for some a-holes like you guys to knock on peoples hopes for an event that could change their life, is really disappointing.
And if I had the money for Australia, OR if the event was here in the states, I WOULD GO IN A HEART BEAT.
Whoever is considering this trip, go for it. You earned it after busting your rear studying at home and what not…
