International Student going from community college to a 4-year

Hello Everyone,
I’m an international student attending one of the community colleges in California. it’s been only two semesters and i want to apply for a 4-year university. i got As in high school back in my country like 90% of the time, i was wondering if i need to take any tests before applying for a college? i heard i need to take SAT, is there a way to transfer to a 4-year without taking that test? if no, then what do i need to study and how long would it take to get a perfect score?

Which colleges do you plan to transfer? Any UC or Cal state in California requires Junior standing (60 semester/90 quarter units) to transfer and do not consider HS grades or require test scores so 2 years minimum attending a CC.

Look on each target schools website for transfer requirements. It could take one test sitting or 50+ test sittings to get a perfect score but check the transfer requirements before taking the SAT and wasting time and money. There a transfer counselors at your CC to help with the process so utilize the resources available to you.
