International student--GPA 3.1--chances to get into journalism grad school!!!help!!!

Hi,
I am an undergraduate engineering student studying in a top college in India. I am in my pre-final year now and would like to pursue PG in journalism from either of the following:
-Mizzou
-UC Berkeley
-Medill
-Syracuse
-CUNY
-Stanford
-Columbia
-U of Wisconsin, Madison

The only concern I have is my GPA. I expect to graduate with 3.1--I know it is on the low side, but I had some personal problems. I have good experience, however, and I hope to get good recommendations from faculty and employers. I've got a good GRE score. Considering I write a good statement of purpose, do I have any hope of getting into the above schools?
I really want to do this, I need to know if I can, I don't want to build up my hopes for no reason. I understand the admissions will be different for international students. Please help!

I have no idea what your chances are, but I can tell you that those are some of the top schools for Journalism, so there are tough odds for anyone. Columbia’s PG Journalism program is made up of 36% international students, and the overall acceptance rate (for any student domestic or international) is between 30 and 50%, depending on the program. It shouldn’t be surprising to you that there are Indian students in Columbia’s PG Journalism program, according to this page:
