International Student, Graduate School

(Let me start by stating that I am unsure where exactly to post this question, if it is posted in the wrong forum, I apologize).

I am currently an American citizen and am attending a University in America. I plan to go to Germany for my Masters Degree, hopefully at the University of Munich. The long term plan for me is to eventually obtain a Ph.D in a Biology related field of study, probably with Genetics and DNA.
I am majoring in Biology, however, I am thinking about Double Majoring in Chemistry specializing in Biochemistry (My school does not offer a Biochemistry major), because I think this second major will help me with my graduate studies.
The question I am asking is, would double majoring make me look better when applying to the University of Munich for a Masters Degree? Or, would it be better to just stick with my regular Biology degree?
Any help or information given would be GREATLY appreciated!

They won’t care about a double major one way or the other. What they will care about is that you have the requisite background to succeed in the program of your choice. Some universities will go so far as to compare an applicant’s transcript course-by-course to the curriculum of their own undergraduate degree to look for gaps. (Admission to German public universities is very formulaic. If a single “less qualified” student gets offered admission, everyone with higher qualifications than that can sue their way into the program.)

The best advice I can give you is to make sure that your coursework includes all of the core requirements for Munich’s own undergraduate biology degree. After you got those covered, take whatever courses make sense for your educational and career goals.
