On my email it said that I have been accepted , but on the ISIS site it says my documents are still missing and status is "In progress"

I sent my documents via email.

Also, Iowa might be one of my better choices, and since I've never been to the USA could someone tell me some nice things about Iowa, tbh I haven't heard or read much about the city and its culture

You should google Iowa. My understanding is, the best thing that came out of Iowa was Kurt Warner, former Saint Louis Ram’s quarter back. Great guy! Wonderful wife. Both do a lot of charity work.

Besides that, Iowa grows potato. Not sure so don’t quote me on it.

Where would one coming from different parts of the world/country fly into to get to the University of Iowa? Is the university diverse, ie, lots of international students? I’m sure a lot of kids come from driving distance, but since the OP is international, he may need help as to where to fly into, transportation from airport to university, and also, off campus housing that doesn’t close during breaks.

Am I correct that James T. Kirk was from Iowa? I wonder if there are any attractions that capitalize on that fact.

International students make up 12% of the student population at Iowa. We have a a large Indian community in Iowa City; 2 Korean churches, a mosque.

You can fly into Cedar Rapids, 30 minutes away, probably making a connection in Chicago.

James Kirk is from Riverside,IA; about 20 minutes from Iowa City. They have an annual TrekFest.

Thanks for chiming in, haystack. I asked my BIL, who lives in Ann Arbor, and is a world traveler, about Iowa City, and he said he loves it. He said it is a great college town, and that it is Iowa’s version of Ann Arbor. That’s quite a compliment!
