International Student looking for help

Hello,
I'm an international student currently living in Lebanon. I graduated high school last June with very good grades and GPA. I've been looking into universities ever since. Due to some financial problems i'm having; I cannot be very demanding. I want to major in biotechnology but I wouldn't mind a field that is related to it. I looked into community colleges in the states and found many good ones. However, i'm unable to decide which is better for me and my financial status. I looked into College of San Mateo and Foothill college and i'm interested in both. Can you please help me with my decision? And also if you have any suggestions on other cheap community colleges or universities inside or outside of america please share it with me.

How much can your family afford to pay each year?

Have you paid a visit to https://www.educationusa.info/Beirut</a> and what did the counselors there say?

Have you visited had a chat with the Education Officers at the Consulates of Canada, Australia, the UK, etc.?

If your family’s low-income (under $40,000/year) look into Berea College in KY. Do it quickly, their deadline is fast approaching and you need all your test scores and essays in before then.
If you have excellent results and good SAT/ACT scores, look into Grinnell, Macalester, Davidson, and national liberal arts colleges ranked 35-65.
If you have top notch results and top notch SAT/ACT scores, look into all top LACs.

If you are fine with schools outside of the US, you should definitely look into universities in Hong Kong.
HKUST and PolyU are good places to start if you are a techy person.
by the way these HK universities have ambitious plans for recruiting intl students like you, so it wont be too difficult to receive scholarships if you have good grades. …

They can afford to pay $20,000 each year. Including my room, food, books and supplies, transportation, and medical insurance.
I am willing to look into other countries that are affordable and suit me more, but it is very important that the schools there teach in English.
No i haven’t had a chat with anyone concerning this matter. How can I communicate with them?

Fitswell,
Well i’d consider going to HK but i dont really speak the language there. And i also heard they don’t teach English there. Are there any schools that teach in English?

They do teach in English… but it s just that their accents are heavily tinged with cantonese…
there are lots of intl students who actually go there without any knowledge of cantonese or chinese so you might want to do more research if you are seriously interested
