hi , im an international student looking to transfer to the US , i did the IB. For the transfer application they want a secondary school final report . For the final report do i only have to submit my gpa not my actual ib grade ?, and i took a gap year and am now in my first year , i was considering retaking some of my exams to improve my score , do colleges frown upon this , will they even be able to see that i have retaken a couple of exams. In addition , for the final report , they want the GPA , do i give them the gpa which is based upon my predicted grades which was in my final high school report (GPA of 3.54), or the gpa from my the final grades i got after the exam which is (GPA 3.3).In addition i got a pretty good score in the sat (over 2200) is a GPA of 3.3 in high school a really bad score will it effect my chances . I am tryng to make sure that i get a GPA of above 3.9 during my first year of university. will that help . Overall , what do you think my chances are of getting into a place like georgetown or Brown ,Hopkins is my dream school ? could i get in ? is it worth applying with these grades ?
im about to start my first year of university or college now, im not going to take any financial aid except for university that are need blind . Does anyone think it will effect my chances if i chose to retake some exam to improve my final grades ? will that effect my chances ,can the colleges even see that i have retaken some exam wilst at my first year of uni . And about my gpa i know 3.3 isnt very good but i was at a highschool that had less than 50 students and alot of people did alot worse then me , plus its was a new school , so i was the first ever class to graduate (i was learning the ib course at the same time as the teachers pretty much ) if i can keep a college GPA above 3.8 for my first year and redo my SAT to try and get above 2300 do i stand any chance of getting in to brown or georgetwon , what about berkley ??
