I'm an international student from Israel. I was born in Los Angeles and was there till I was 10; five years ago my family moved to Israel. I plan to study in the US after high school. I'm a pretty smart student: I skipped 8th grade, I'm ranked first in my grade (1/90). I also have an interesting personality: I like dancing, I just participated in a competition in math and got to a honored place.
However when I took the SATs this October I was quite disappointed. My scores were:
Math-650
Writing-660
Critical Reading-490

I guess the CR was hard for me because eventually I am not studying English as extensively as students in the US. I plan to do the SAT again next October. Is it too late? I'm worried because I haven't done the SAT2 either. I want to do 2 of them at the end of this year and one next year. Is my schedule to tight?
I know I can improve my math and writing scores to at least 750 but I'm worried about CR. I think the best I can do is 650 or so. Do colleges give credit to international students since they don't learn English daily? (Am I even considered as an international student?)
I want to go to elite schools- Ivys or even others such as: MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Johns Hopkins etc. Do you think I will ever have a chance to be accepted?
Also consider that I have a very tough background since my father has a mental sickness for already 6 years (that's why we moved to Israel).

For a first go your math and writing is really good as a junior you can certainly improve on that...i got a 560 in CR the first time i took it..and a 610 the second time but i guess CR just really sucks for us international students..when i gave it in january i got a 760 on it so a 200 point improvement...i would say you just focus on CR cause thats your only weakness..do Princeton review..memorise alot of words and prefixes and suffixes..that really helps..when i went and gave it in january i preped my butt off for CR and didnt look at the sections till the test day itself..do CR like a game..dont worry at all about the time...do it like it doesnt matter at all..thats what worked for me...i went from a 1900 on the october one to a 2060 in december to a 2260 this january...not alot of colleges care about writing..its considered as a third sat2...but work on critical..read..and learn alotta words...do your sat2s this year..take 2 in may and one in june and then prep for your sat..im international too and i thought my 560 sucks and colleges would cut me slack since im in an international school but they dont really care cause alot of people score great on CR..writing is usually their weakness..but anyways good luck!!!

definetaly talk to admissions personel about it personally. and try buying/borrowing the books that cater towards the SAT and exactly what you need to you. I'm sure you know it, but the time constarints and format can typically cause problems.
