I KNOW Wake Forest does not give need-based aid to international students, but there are merit based scholarships available, such as Nancy Susan Reynolds scholarship and Carswell Scholarship.
These scholarship programs are also great with internship opportunities.

I have decided to apply to 11 universities. Should I let something financially risky like this take up a spot?

Gen stats: All As in O and A Levels, 2230 SAT I, 1600 SAT II. Regular ECAs, plus 2 unique ones.

efc is 10k, if that helps anyone..although I dont know how it might...

Worth applying?

the chances to get those scholarships are very low, but if you are applying 11 schools, throw in another does not hurt that much.

Check if the scholarships are even available to intnls, many are not. I don’t think I’d ake it one of 11, I’d focus on schools that offer need based aid or guaranteed merit.

*efc is 10k, *

???

If you’re an int’l, then how do you have an EFC? FAFSA EFC isn’t for int’ls. EFC doesn’t mean beans for int’ls. The school would use their OWN formula to determine what your family should pay (if it gives aid to int’ls).

If you’re really an American abroad, then you’re not an int’l.

how much are those scholarships for?

Are you applying to ANY schools that give assured large merit to int’ls? If not, why not? Why not have at least one or two schools on your list that gives huge merit for stats?

The big scholarships, the two I mentioned, plus 3-4 others cover full tuition, room and board, and give you some cash for internships in the summer. And they say that all applicants, even international students are considered for major scholarships.

Sorry I meant the expected family contribution on the CSS Profile, by which I meant what my family could pay without any problem.
