wake forest doesnt give need based aid to intels. you need to apply for merit based scholarships. which are pretty difficult to get. lots of people apply for them and one thread says about 5% who apply get one. real competitive.

Good stats, but saketm is right you have to apply for merit aid, and that rate is 5% for OOS kids, and I have no idea what it is for out of country. You'll probably get in, but you'll have to distinguish yourself for aid.

i think out of state = out of country. so the 5% of people who apply thing is still holds true. but, wake has about 60 international kids. so being international will definitely help you. im international and im in. your SAT scores are real good(for an intel, youre doing great). if you need any help for next year my email is saketmunshaw@msn.com.

my advice, the merit based aid application has a lot of long essays. get the application as soon as its out and start working on them. also the application for admission has an essay and many questions. you need to work on them. i feel that admission into wake depends a lot on your writing skills.
