Won't send any scores.

I’d say you have an AWESOME chance. However, scores are required for international admission to Smith (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, or IELTS).

I’m not a part of the admissions office, just a Smithie parent (whose daughter is flying to Oxford for spring semester tomorrow!), but I think you have an excellent chance! You seem to be the kind of person who really challenges herself and is willing to try new experiences. Smith would be a great opportunity for you, so go ahead and apply. Good luck! If you have any questions about Smith, please ask us.

What do you think about Brian Mawr/Mt Holyoke/Pitzer College? How do they feel (academically) comparing to Smith? What about Occidental?

It’s really hard to compare, since I haven’t been a student at any of those schools and I’ve in fact only visited one of them. They are great schools, and both Bryn Mawr and Mt Holyoke are seven sisters colleges. I visited Bryn Mawr, but it didn’t really click for me. Their consortium with Haverford though is much closer than Smith’s consortium with the other five colleges. Mt Holyoke has a beautiful campus, but it’s in a smaller town than Smith, with less in the way of shops, restaurants, etc. Mt Holyoke has more international students than Smith. That’s about all I can tell you.
