International student transferring within the US

So I was accepted to a small liberal arts college in the US and I will be attending the college this fall but it was my safety. I was mostly rejected and wait listed from my top schools, whereby some of the schools mentioned they did not accept me due to financial reasons.

As a transfer I will still be demanding a high amount of financial aid but I hear it is even tougher than the regular freshman admissions process. My SAT was a 1420/1600 and my IB predicted scores were 43/45. I am currently taking my final exams and I’m hoping to perform as well.

Does anyone know top schools which are more or less need blind for international student transfer applicants?
Furthermore, what is needed to complete my transfer application other than high school GPA, college grades and the transfer essay?

It can’t be “more or less need blind.”

It HAS TO BE need blind, guarantee to meet full need, and accept transfer students. And that leaves you with very, very little choice.

What do you consider a “top” school? The Ivy League? Top 20? Top 100?

If you raise your SAT to 1440, it would qualify you for full tuition at University of Alabama, ranked 103 in the US.

Top schools I would consider to be in the top 50. Even if they’re not Ivys as long as they have a good architecture program that’s good for me.

Also, instead of transferring as an undergrad, would it be preferable if I applied as for graduate schools, or are my chances there even more scarce?

Look at grad school admit rates, but I would expect them to be better. Most top schools just don’t have many spots for transfers.
