International Student with a grade school age child

Question:
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible for a US citizen (myself) to attend a college in France or Germany (I have a B.S. from an American University) to obtain an additional B.A. or masters level education, if I have a child that is 8 years old and will need to be in a grade school while I am in college?
Dose anyone have any idea whom I can contact or any general ideas where I can get started in my searching?

Thank you in advance for your attention to my questions,

Seth

Have a look at this page: http://ec.europa.eu/immigration/who-does-what/what-does-the-eu-do/already-in-the-eu_en#family

It seems that you need to be resident for two years before bringing a child over. But you need to do more digging. I do know that US citizens can take advantage of Germany’s higher education system. I think you are going to have to contact the consulate for those countries to get any official answers. Try posting in the international forum too.
