info on international students FA

NYU offers limited financial support in the form of institutional grants/scholarships to international freshmen admitted to our New York campus. Grants/scholarships are based on a combination of financial need and academic merit.
NYU Abu Dhabi and NYU Shanghai offer generous need-based financial support in the form of grants/scholarships, regardless of citizenship.

For more information please see Applications and Forms.

In addition, some Private (Non-Federal) Alternative Loans are available to international students. For more information please see Private (Non-Federal) Alternative Loans.

I think what @Spirral meant was that NYU is very stingy with scholarship funds. However there are also cases where students were awarded toms of need based aid. It mostly depends on how much they want you. Thus the more they are interested into you, the more aid you will get (from what I understood reading on CC)

Thank you for the info  I try to be optimistic about fin aid and admission in general :D

Does anyone know the average IB score of Stern accept-tees? If you’re also rejected from your college of choice, do you still have a chance to attend NYU? There is a choice to be considered for another NYU programs if you are rejected from your college of choice (in my case, stern). Does that automatically either a rejection or admission to LSP? Thanks in advance.

Someone from Germany here. I applied and am still waiting for a decision. Not expecting a lot of financial aid, I don’t think they want me that badly. Even if I got in, I’d probably not be able to afford attending.

@Spirral I applied to CAS but also liberal Studies

Im an International Graduate from India… Got accepted in SCPS…

Congratulations ! :)@snehaprakash
