International student?

I'm a international student and planing for apply FU,I know it's a nice school in academic, but what about the cost? I heard the school is near NYC,does the living cost expensive? It's the first time I go to US for study and dk everything about there.PLEASE help >.<

In regards to the cost of living, that depends heavily on whether you’re staying in a dorm or getting an apartment. If you stay in a dorm, excluding the actual dorm costs, you probably only need $1,000 a semester for miscellaneous items like books, should you choose to eat out, visit sights, shop, etc (if that much).

If you’re not staying in a dorm…well, my apartment is $4,000/month plus $400/month in utilities and groceries.

The apartment’fees are crazy expensive>< Does it $4,000 per month a very large space do u share with others…?$1,000 is a reasonable living cost…

Apartments around campus are typically less expensive than that, but most people tend to go in with multiple roommates anyways. But yea, New York City is very expensive- you should at least be prepared to save your money and spend smartly or simply make the decision that it’s too expensive…

Zzzzz, which campus are you looking at? You could find much cheaper apartment near the Bronx campus, maybe in $1000/month range. I live in Manhattan so my rent is much higher.

To answer your the questions - 2 bedrooms, and I don’t have roommates.

Well,I think I should consider if it worth that cost,…my parents are not live in US,so it may be a fortune for them. And I’m not smart in money management.Just couldn’t control myself > <
though I like NYC ≧◇≦

ZZZz don’t listen to Plattsburgh loser. Plattsburgh is living in Manhattan (most expensive borough) that is very far from the Rose Hill campus. If you attend the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx, you can easily find an off-campus apartment close by in the range of 800-1000 a month for a 1BR with no roommates. If you need cheaper, I know plenty of people living with roommates paying around 600-650 a month with utilities/cable/etc. included.

Don’t listen to Patrick. He obviously fails to realize that more than the Rose Hill campus exists, one of which is in Manhattan. Hence my asking which campus Zzzz was looking at. Which makes me question how familiar with Fordham he is…

Not everyone flocks to Rose Hill. And how is stating my rent incorrect?

Anyway…Zzzzz, are you planning on residing on or off campus?
It might be more beneficial to you to be in a dorm.

You guys are all right,it depends on which campus I lived in.I plan to live off-campus,and I absolutely will choose the cheapest campus to live nearby~Rose Hill or other borough?
I can afford it completely if it’s really around $600-650:)

Rose Hill is in the Bronx; if that’s the campus you’re choosing, then you’ll be okay price-wise.

I don’t know how reputable this site is: [Rhamco - Home](http://www.fordhamoffcampus.com/)
But it’s always popping up on the Google Ads in my Gmail account. You might be able to find a place here or similar.

And then Craigslist: [bronx all apartments classifieds - craigslist](http://newyork.craigslist.org/brx/aap/)
Which, I’m personally not comfortable with using, but you may find something here.

Thanks^- ^ That’s help
