Fordham RH Commuter Students

I recently applied as a transfer applicant to Fordham Rose Hill. As stated on the FAQ on the Fordham website, transfer students have not been given on-campus housing for the last 3 semesters.

I really wanted to live on campus and get the 'college experience', but I guess I won't be able to and I'll need to find an apartment near campus.

For any of the commuter students at Fordham, I can imagine your social lives being different from on-campus residents, but what do you guys think of it?

Also, does anybody have any rough estimates on how much I'll most likely have to pay a month for an apartment in the area? I'm from NJ and don't know much about the NYC area. Thanks!

If you are a commuter, student life will be a little different, but it should impair you from being able to get involved with all the same activities as the students’ who dorm on campus. Perhaps with the exception of any late night get together in the dorms to talk, study, party, etc... Everything else should be about the same I think.

FYI - I'm a commuter, start getting used to the idea of dishing out anywhere between $850 - 1800. Its not cheap, that's why everyone gets a roomy.

shouldn't

where does the 'shouldn't' go? haha

but do you mean 850-1800 per person? or per apartment.

that's the average you can expect to pay for an apartment.
