International Students getting their JD? Not LLM

Hi...i wanted to know if there was anyone here who came to the US from abroad to do their undergrad (F1 Visa) and is now considering law school in the US or has completed law school in the US...what kind of schools are you looking at...what about financial aid and what kind of job offers do you or will you have...what about work visa issue being in the law field...anyone who can relate to this?

My wife came for an LLM and stayed for a JD. Financial aid is tough but not entirely impossible. After school you have 1 year of work training during which time your firm can try to get you an H1 visa, but you need some special unique skill to get that visa.

Most foreign attorneys just come for the LLM and then take the bar in NY or other places that allow LLMs to take the bar.
