International Student's Letters of Recommendation

Hey guys,

There's something that's not quite clear to me in regards to the teacher evaluations (and secondary school report). I am from a German-speaking country and attend a school whose language of instruction is NOT English. My teachers have agreed to send me their letters of recommendation to me so I can use them in my application.

My question is the following: can I even do that? I want to apply online. In that case, can I create an account for my teacher on CommonApp myself and send their recommendations to colleges myself or do I need to do it with them, sitting down together before the computer etc. How does the process work?

Do I even submit the Microsoft-Word-file of the evaluation or do I have to scan the evaluation on paper so you can see the signature properly? I really have no clue.

I have asked my teachers to write Letters of Recommendations for me and they agreed to do it; they are going to send the Microsoft-Word-documents to me via e-mail. At this point (being in possession of the documents) do I need my teachers to complete the final step (send them to colleges online) or can I do it all on my own?

Cheers

Same uncertainty that goes in my mind. I hope someone can clear this very well.

Even I have the exact same query.
The details about the process for internationals are rather obscure :expressionless: I cannot determine clearly what to do. Plus the SCEA deadline is barely a month away :|

Could someone please clarify this ? Thanks !

Yeah, this is really an issue for international students.
Why isn’t anyone answered to this?! ;(

BUMP 'cause it seems everyone wants to know this
